Inside Pat Sajak's Relationship With His Kids

Pat Sajak has been a pop culture staple for years. According to the "Wheel of Fortune" website, Sajak has been hosting the show that started as "America's Game" since 1981. The syndicated version of the series made its way onto the airwaves in 1983, and it almost seems like Sajak is a family member since we've welcomed him into our living rooms for such a long time. He's earned a huge fan base and plenty of accolades along the way, including a star on the coveted Hollywood Walk of Fame and a few Emmy Awards, per IMDb.

In 2022, the longtime host confessed that the end is near. "In most television shows by this time, you would have said, 'That's probably enough,' but this show will not die," he told Entertainment Tonight, adding that he will likely be done before the show is. "Years go by fast. We're getting near the end. It's been a long [time]. We're not gonna do this for another 40 years," he said before gushing over what an honor it has been to be at the helm for so many years.

There's no doubt that the show has amassed Sajak a considerable net worth and made him a household name. Still, when he chooses to hang up his mic and retire from the popular series, he will still have his wife and children to lean on. Thankfully, he seems to be pretty close with both of his kiddos.

Pat Sajak and Maggie Sajak work together

Pat Sajak is a proud pop to both of his kids, but he just so happens to work with his daughter, Maggie Sajak. According to her Instagram bio, Maggie serves as a social media correspondent for "The Wheel of Fortune," and she posts plenty of behind-the-scenes photos and videos, much to the delight of fans. According to her bio on the show page, Maggie loves the opportunity to be a part of the show that made her father a household name. "I'm excited about the opportunity to bring an insider's look at the show with new behind-the-scenes features, interviews, videos, and insights," she gushed, adding that "the Wheel of Fortune staff and crew have always been like an extended family" and she's so "thrilled" for the chance to work with them. How cool is that?

Maggie occasionally shares glimpses of her relationship with her father on social media, and the two seem to share a close bond. And now that they're working together, they actually ride together to work. In a post on her Instagram feed on August 24, Maggie shared a photo of herself and her dad with the short caption stating, "Yes, we do carpool together." Can we get a ride?

The pair also chatted in a Father's Day YouTube video, where Maggie called Pat her "favorite father" and showed a video from an old father-daughter dance. The two seem to have a pretty playful banter and loving relationship.

Pat Sajak is proud of his son, Patrick Sajak

Even though Pat Sajak and his son, Patrick Sajak, do not work together, that does not mean they are any less close. Pat is still a proud dad, considering his son Patrick is now a doctor. Paging Dr. Sajak has a pretty nice ring to it, doesn't it? According to USA Today, Pat took time during a 2021 episode of "The Wheel of Fortune" to brag about his son and all he has achieved. Sajak began by asking Vanna White if it was okay for him to do "a little parental bragging," before elaborating further.

"You know my son Patrick, you've known him all his life. He's made it through medical school, and he is now officially Dr. Sajak," Pat said before joking that the only thing he didn't like about his son's new title was that Patrick insists he call him "Dr. Sajak." According to WellSpan Health, Patrick serves as a resident at York Hospital, which he chose "because of the people and the broad educational experiences the program offers."

Maggie also seemed like a really proud sister as she shared a photo of herself and her brother Patrick on May 20, 2021. "My big brother officially became a doctor today, and I am the MOST proud. Congrats @patricksajak, MD!!!," she captioned the photo of herself with her arms wrapped around her brother. The only question that remains is — can they adopt us?
